Musad Engineering & Consultancy supported the updating of the Sustainable Urban Transport Index (SUTI) for Dhaka City under an assignment for IIFC and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Division (RTHD). The project focused on strengthening evidence-based urban transport planning by aligning key mobility indicators with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Services included reviewing previous SUTI datasets, developing structured data collection frameworks, conducting quantitative performance analysis, and coordinating stakeholder workshops with public transport agencies and relevant institutions. The assessment covered indicators such as modal share, public transport accessibility and reliability, traffic fatalities, affordability, investment levels, air quality, and greenhouse gas emissions. Through this engagement, Musad contributed to a data-driven evaluation framework to guide sustainable and resilient urban mobility planning in Dhaka.
