Role of Musad Engineering & Consultancy

Musad Engineering & Consultancy provided specialized field data collection services to support the calibration of the HDM-4 model for Bangladesh’s national road network under a research initiative led by BUET for BRRL and the Roads and Highways Department (RHD). The assignment involved nationwide pavement condition surveys across selected highway sections, including detailed crack and pothole assessments with measurement, classification, and documentation of distress characteristics. The collected data contributed to analyzing road deterioration patterns under local traffic and environmental conditions and supported model calibration for improved pavement management planning. Through accurate survey execution and systematic data reporting, Musad ensured reliable inputs for evidence-based infrastructure maintenance and investment decisions.
